Google to Promote Its Advertising Programmes in Malaysia

Who said Malaysia is not big enough for Google AdSense? Someone said Malaysia has a small market and it is not profitable for AdSense at this point. If my knowledge proves to be right, compared to Sweden whose population is only 9 millions, Malaysia has 22 million faithful citizens. I doubt Google's AdSense will not be profitable with these kind of market!

The article you are about to read are the best groundbreaking news for Malaysian. With these marvelous news, I pray so that every Malaysian will become the world recognized authoritative WEBMASTERS in the near future.

This article was written by Ashwin Raman.

Google Inc will conduct seminars with the government, local partners and advertising agencies in Malaysia this year to promote its AdWords and AdSense programmes to SMEs, government institutions, as well as multi-national brands in industries such as travel, technology, retail and financial services. Its head of sales for Google Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, Crid Yu, said its sales and operations centre that was established in Hong Kong last October would bring its advertising programmes to agencies and companies throughout Hong Kong and Southeast Asia including Malaysia this year.

"Google's advertising programmes have proven effective for advertisers around the world conducting business online," Crid Yu told reporters at a briefing on Google's strategy for Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur on February 24th.

Yu said Google AdWords enabled advertisers and businesses of all sizes and industries to reach their target market by matching text-based advertisements to user search queries, providing them with informations relevant to what they were looking for.

The advertisers are also given the option to select the Internet Protocol address of the user when a search is performed to determine if the advertisement will be relevant to the user's location.

Yu said advertisers were charged based on the number visitors that clicked on the advertisements.

He said Google AdSense was a programme specifically for website publishers. In this case, the publishers agree to allow Google advertisements on their webpage that would also match the content on the webpage.

This, Yu said, would generate revenue for publishers while advertisers would have a better chance of reaching their audience.

He said Google had also launched its Authorised Reseller Programme in the region by appointing three companies in Hong Kong as its authorised resellers that would be able to serve SMEs in the Hong Kong market.

Yu added Google would appoint several companies in Malaysia either in the second half of this year or early next year to provide this service to local SMEs.

Resellers are selected based on their high quality of service, deep product knowledge and ability to provide returns to their clients.

Hi! This is a personal recovery blog. Everything I posts here are from my twisted addicted mind and/or just plain poorly written. If something around here belongs to you and you're one of those people who hates free PR, drop me a line and I'll pull it down or credit you in large bold letters with every "T" crossed and every "i" dotted with a heart - Honest! And also I have very, very few assets, so it's probably not worth your time to go the lawyer route. Thanks.
